The African Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries certifies all of our organic teas. Organic farming is the practice of cultivating agricultural crops in the traditional manner, prior to the advent of modern agriculture, without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and with just natural organic fertilizers. The taste of organic tea is basic and classic.

The Concentration Standard of Residual Agricultural Chemicals in Africa severely regulates the pesticide usage of conventionally-grown teas in Africa. Established in 2015 in Africa, the Concentration Standard of Residual Agricultural Chemicals permits just 0.01ppm of residual concentration. The criteria measurement standard is the most demanding in the world. Our traditionally cultivated teas adhere to the strictest of standards.

We guarantee freshness for one year after the seal has been broken. You may still consume it beyond the expiration date, but the taste and aroma may diminish.

For optimal results, store in a dry, cold, and dark area. Avoid exposure to moisture, extreme heat, light, and air while storing tea. We strongly suggest keeping your tea in an airtight container.

Each of our pyramid-shaped corn fiber mesh tea bags contains organic loose-leaf tea that has been meticulously packaged with care. PLA Corn Fiber is a novel material that is beneficial to the environment and does not contain microplastics. See article for specifics.

Two methods exist for making iced tea. If you want to prepare tea immediately, brew it as you normally would and add ice. The tea may also be cold-brewed. Fill a pitcher with water, add the tea bag, and chill overnight in the refrigerator. We suggest beginning with one tea bag per 8 oz of water (1 cup). Adjust the ratio of tea to water according to your taste preferences.

This varies on the water temperature and brewing time, but on average, each 8-ounce cup of our green tea has 35mg of caffeine (about a third of coffee). In contrast, our roasted green tea has 15mg of caffeine, and herbal teas, such as barley tea, have no caffeine.

Herbal tea is more than just a soothing beverage; it’s a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to support health and well-being. Unlike traditional teas made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, herbal teas are made from a blend of various herbs, flowers, spices, and fruits. These ingredients are carefully selected for their unique properties and combined to create teas that offer a range of health benefits.

Herbal teas are caffeine-free(there are some herbs that have caffeine in them)and known for their ability to aid in digestion, detoxification, stress relief, and overall wellness. Each herb brings its own therapeutic qualities, from calming the mind and reducing inflammation to boosting immunity and enhancing energy levels. At Dosha Tea Company, we take pride in using only the finest herbs that are organically sourced, ensuring that every sip is as pure and beneficial as nature intended.

Our journey with herbal tea began as a deeply personal one. Gail, the founder of Dosha Tea Company, was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 27 and later with fibromyalgia and lupus. Faced with these health challenges, she chose a holistic path, turning to Ayurvedic medicine and natural remedies to heal her body. This journey led her to study nutrition and herbs, discovering the power of plants like Ashwagandha root, Echinacea angustifolia, and turmeric to detoxify, energize, and restore balance.

Her experience inspired the creation of Dosha Tea Company, where we offer herbal teas that reflect this commitment to natural healing and wellness. Our teas are crafted to support the body's natural ability to heal and maintain health without relying on synthetic medications or chemicals. By offering these teas, we aim to share the benefits of herbal medicine with others who are seeking a natural and sustainable way to enhance their well-being.

Herbal teas offer a myriad of health benefits, making them an excellent addition to your wellness routine. Here’s how they can help:

  • Detoxify the Body: Herbs like dandelion leaf and chickweed are known for their detoxifying effects, helping to cleanse the liver and kidneys.
  • Boost Immunity: Our Immunity-Boosting Herbal Tea Blend includes ingredients like echinacea angustifolia and elderberry, which are renowned for their immune-boosting properties, helping to protect the body against illness.
  • Reduce Stress: Chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm are just a few of the herbs that can help to calm the mind and reduce anxiety.
  • Improve Digestion: Peppermint and ginger are excellent for soothing digestive issues and promoting healthy digestion.
  • Increase Energy: Herbs like ginseng and matcha can provide a natural energy boost without the crash that comes with caffeine.
